Memories in Motion is a collection designed to demonstrate my skill and versatility in capturing the vitality of personal memories and the essence of personal history.

For a unique gift or historical document, I help record and preserve the voices, images, and stories of your loved ones. Whether it’s a heartfelt message, an interview, or a story-telling session, I create high-quality video & audio recordings that can be cherished for generations.

Charles’s Story

“Charles’s Story” was created as a project in COM 561, marking my first endeavor using Adobe Audition.

It was during research for this project for COM 561 that I learned about StoryCorps founder David Isay. StoryCorps, likely Isay’s most significant achievement, has collected and archived over 75,000 interviews from more than 200,000 participants, making it one of the largest oral history projects of its kind. David Isay believes that one of the most important things you can do in life is interview a loved one, stating that listening “is an act of love” (Isay, 2020). His work inspired me to create “Charles Story,” and since then, I have interviewed multiple family members, preserving their stories and our family history.

Nelda’s Story

My stepdaughter lost her grandmother a few years ago. To consolidate cherished memories, I asked her family to recount their stories and share photos, which I compiled into a heartfelt narrative. Using Adobe Creative Suite, I combined various media formats to create a meaningful piece of memorabilia for her. This project exemplifies my passion for preserving family memories, and I would love to do more work like this.

Photo Restoration

Transforming a shadow of a memory into a present-day masterpiece brings me immense satisfaction and joy.

The first photo here is of my dad and his best friend shaking hands on my parents’ wedding day. The original photo had been folded in half, resulting in a deep crease right across my father’s face. Additionally, the dog’s behind was prominently featured in the background. I meticulously removed the dog and painstakingly restored my dad’s face and suit, pixel by pixel. I was able to surprise my mom with a finished, smooth hardcopy.

The second set features a photo a family received of their new home, showing what it looked like over 100 years ago. I had the privilege of restoring this treasured piece and presenting it to the current owners.
